Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Arbuthnot -- u guys want my AUD for 73-06-10?

myself having leeched 100 giga bytes from around here, I can put back. I've figured out how to work with musicians I know from the past, etree, archive dot org, and use my own equipment to seed live music to the LMA. I just posted in this forum about my 1st seed. Arb, you asked about my AUD of RFK Stadium, June 10, 1973, with the famous 8-hour Sunday show, includes the jam with Merle Saunders and a couple of the Allmans.

Arbuthnot asking for 73-06-10 AUD

I just looked again. no AUDs for this show on LMA, just the original record-holding SBD (450-thousand-plus d/ls) seed, and the new Charlie Miller fixer-upper seed. If you guys want -- say you, Charlie, and Earl, for example -- I can do transfers from my 34-year-old Nakamichi 550, and seed it to the LMA. Not great quality on this AUD. my bad. I used shitty Memorex cassettes to record this. bad choice. But the PA system and the Wall of Sound was the best I ever heard -- all weekend! This was just weeks before I purchased my Nak. This AUD was recorded on my Sony 110. My 1st AUD ever was the day before, the show on Sat, June 9. I wonder what AshesRising, or He Live's, or bluedevil or a few others think about this. Any thoughts on seeding a partial setlist? or does it have to be the whole setlist? or don't bother me with the AUD, my hard drives are full?

I have some tape damage. I'd need some time.

Monte: I understand the question isn't directed to me, but my first inclination would be to say, "why not?". I know I, for one, would be very interested to hear your AUD. I see this as being an archive, vast and wide, that can never be filled, only added to.

In my opinion, any and all sources of this show would (and should) be welcome.

Monte ... your generosity is large, and yes, i would be very interested in giving your 6/10 audience source a listen, for one, i love the different aspects that an audience tape picks up, the different feel and aura, and two, i got a taste of that with the GDTRFB patch you did, and most definitely want to hear more; however, at your pace Monte, no rush at all; by the way, there is a partial audience source for 6/10 here at LMA, taped by Gill Gadsden, was actually listening to it this afternoon, interesting stuff ...

also, i must echo Stealz in that the LMA is an archive, and should your audience source grace this wonderful library, then this library will be that much richer ...
